EMN Estonia conference: ”Beyond Temporary: Building for the Future”

Eesti

Conference date: 28 May 2025

Location: Estonian Academy of Security Sciences, Kase 61, Tallinn

As the Council of Europe extends temporary protection for Ukrainian refugees until March 2026, there remains a need to identify sustainable solutions that will strengthen livelihoods for refugees both in their host countries and, when possible, upon their return to Ukraine.

The EMN Estonia Conference will bring together international network members and partners, such as OECD, ICMPD, Ministry of the Interior of Estonia, Ukreate Hub from Lithuania and many more, to discuss the following:

  • Long-term plans and strategies for displaced persons from Ukraine after the end of temporary protection;
  • The main challenges and best practises of labour market integration of BoTP and the role of the diaspora.

The conference agenda and registration link will be shared on the EMN Estonia website in the first half of April. The conference will take place on-site at the Estonian Academy of Security Sciences (Kase 61, Tallinn). Working language of the conference is English, with simultaneous translation into Estonian.

Please mark your calendars for 28 May 2025, for the EMN Estonia conference!
